The 2006 Bears Super Bowl XLI appearance was an upsetting one. What started out as an incredible first few minutes and even first quarter slowly resulted in a 29-17 Bears loss against the Indianapolis Colts. Of the 16 regular season games, 12 of them were without the critical Pro Bowl cornerback Nathan Vasher due to a torn groin muscle. Other injuries caused the Bears' normally successful and strong defensive line to crumble.

Brian Griese appeared in a few games until a shoulder injury brought Grossman back out from the shadows. The 2008 Bears are looking to drastically improve the offensive line for the upcoming season to keep the strikes against the opposition coming.
